SESAP

For more than 45 years, the Surgical Education and Self-Assessment Program (SESAP®) has been a premier educational resource for practising surgeons. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Division of Education developed the 17th edition of SESAP in a commitment to lifelong learning to help surgeons acquire and apply new knowledge and reaffirm existing knowledge in a commitment to lifelong learning.

SESAP 17 consists of 650 newly constructed, case-based, multiple-choice questions. Concise critiques provide evidence-based explanations addressing all the answer choices, as well as supporting references from the current literature. The questions address the major content areas of general surgery.

The best pricing option is the resident member price.

For example, resident membership in the American College of Surgeons is $20, so the cost of a “NonCME All Categories with Print” package for a resident member is ($300 + $20 = $320) vs. $408 for a resident non-member.

(Print packages of SESAP 17 for subscribers with an international address will incur a fee of $70 to cover shipping and handling charges. Web-only packages are not affected.)

The following page contains information on how to apply for a resident membership:

https://www.facs.org/member-services/join/resident

Advanced modules are now available. SESAP 17 Advanced features additional in-depth content for surgeons seeking further knowledge in specific areas. Modules in abdomen and alimentary tract, breast, endocrine, surgical critical care, and trauma are available. Details are available at this link: https://www.facs.org/sesapadvanced.

Please notice: it typically takes at least a month for packages to arrive in Switzerland.

If you decide to order SESAP 17 without a membership you can order a certificate from rebecca.anthony@basisexamen.ch
